Horror buffs will instantly recognize this film as the Godfather of all Zombie movies. This movie is Shot in black and white(as apossed to the green and white image above) and on a low budget, it defined what zombie movies are today.

The Plot...
A young brother and sister Barbra and Johnny road trip several hours to visit their father's grave. watching the zombie kills her brother and Barbra heads to an old farmhouse. The characters all start arriving, and the news comes on the radio and tv that hell is on earth etc.

Tom, Judy, and Ben make an attempt an escape via truck, but after shooting the lock off the gas pump and a gasoline stream on fire. The truck explodes the zombies break in to the farm house. And it dinner time Zombie style, their luck has ran out.

A nice no one gets out alive ending, which is echoed in the rest of the series," Dawn of the dead" and "Day of the dead". Lets not forget the latest "Land of the dead".

What do I think...
I love this movie even it re-make was good. This is a must to watch and own. The follow up "Dawn Of the Dead" was great trapped ina shopping mall with a variety of zombies including my personal ffavourite Zombie of all time the hari-Kishna Zombie. These movies are great.....10/10
