The
1977 Wes Craven movie "The Hills Have Eyes" is now almost
thirty years old, but still great(much better than the weak re-make).
The plot......
A family on vacation ventures from the main road and crash in the
middle of desert(yes this basic plot has been used many times before
and since...) and ends up stranded, and then fall prey to strange
clan of inbred cannibals.
Though the story idea may not be very original - it has bucket loads
of atmosphere and style. The acting that is of a good standard and
in parts great, the characters Pluto and mars are in a class of there
own. "The Hills Have Eyes" is only 89 minutes long so gets
on with the slaughter and fear right away and dosent stop till the
movie does.
What
Do I Think Of it.....
"The
Hills Have Eyes" is Twisted, violent, and even a touch symbolic.
A classic piece of 70's exploitation horror.Yes "The Last House
On the Left" by Wes Craven is better and the similarities to
"The Texas Chainsaw masacre" are obvious but....it's still
a great movie.
"The Hills Have Eyes" has inbred physco killers with no
respect for the life or the family they hunt. It's a must.
Don't just wear the T-Shirt!
